These paintings are made with the StudioYaws classes at The Emerald
Art Center. We clean brushes and cups/palettes onto the raw canvas. I
then stretch them and apply thin coats of paint to interact with
chaos. One can find small hand-prints and students names hidden in the
artworks. We do our best to prevent paint going down the drain and
entering streams and lakes. The resulting artwork’s imagery
incorporates rainy days where the sun is still shining and figures of
students waiting for their bus to arrive.
